So many wonderful things to say from the kindhearted missionaries who dedicated their lives to this church. This webpage doesn’t contain enough pixels to write everything that comes in my mind. However one thing specifically marked me and it is the reign of King Benjamin in the Book of Mormon. Therefore I am dedicating this page to him and all the missionaries whom have taught me a new perspective. In the meantime, I will demestify some concerns I had prior my first visit and I am afraid that, those concerns might also be present for others.
Therfore, if it were possible that you could have just men to be your kings, who would establish the laws of God, and judge this people according to this commandments, yea, if ye could have men for your kings who would do even as my father Benjamin did for this people -I say unto you, if this could always be the case then it would be expedient that ye should always have kings to rule over you.
Now, there are many whom have harshly denigrated this church on social medias and, I couldn’t help it. I had to see it and challenge it for myself! During my visits and studies, I noticed many differences between the principles based upon the Mormon, the Christian and the Christian Orthodox beliefs. If it was only of me, I would take a lesson from each church until we come to a final conclusion. How it is that the British empires on which “the sun never set”, has so many different beliefs and as if it wasn’t enough confusing, a new movement formed: The restoration of the Gospel?
During this time, I did not obtain a final conclusion. However, I experienced something greater. Not only I had a formal confirmation that whatever conspirationnists and unbelievers had said agaisnt this church happen to be false. I lived a confirmation, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is without any doupt one of the most well manage church! Here I am not refering to a socio-economical perspective, but to a set of moral principles. The people I met there were highly welcoming, friendly and talented. Yes, they are gifted by God, just as the belivers from other congregations, and yes, their perspectives in the matter of worthiness appear to be frightening. How sorrowful is it to realize that we are imperfect, that we might have transgress or worse that we could be in a fallen state? What a blessing was it to realize the truth! Repentance is a gift and most can still change their ways by the grace and mercy of our heavenly father who prepared us the plan of Salvation. So many programs and groups studies has been put in place and assist us in overcoming our challenges. How bless is he who kept and cherish the Gospel Principles? I have tried as many groups as I could before the Covid-19 and, everytime I came back home with answers on many spiritual questions, and more!
One of my other concerns after reading many online reddit were specifically about those rumors that they preached and praised polygamy. Again, I did not even need to ask my question directly to any members, I quickly realized during the Come, Follow me study group that those rumors were false. Again, I came back home with more than I expected. I had a pile of articles, papers on eternal families and scripture references which my spirit still rejoice over. I am known to be that person for whom “nothing is good enough” and truly, what I discovered within this church was more than enough to fulfil my spiritual thirst! I was not magically teleported on a new demography, I was not protected against weapons, nor did I turn out like David against the Goliath. But, I brought back a message of love and faith which I am very please to share with you today.
Finaly, the most important question I had read: Is Joseph Smith real? And I will say to you, and you must pass on this message because too many people pounder on the question. Here it is: Who am I to tell you whether or not Joseph Smith was real or even if his preachings are correct? It would take away all the uncoverred misteries of your journey. Therefore my dear readers, I must say, Go there, read for yourself and ask God.
May love prevail,
